
Clo Pantano is a Honduran/American artist working across painting, sculpture, tattoo, and performance. They graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Valparaíso in Chile with a BFA in Painting. They are currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
This year Pantano participated in Ashes Whispering for the New York Latin American Art Triennial. They attended The Virreina Art Residency in Bogota, Colombia. IN 2024, they produced and curated Fantasias en Decadencia, a multidisciplinary event and exhibit in Bogota, Colombia at Espacio Odeón. They had a solo sculpture show, La Autonomía de lo Invisible, at The Atlanta Contemporary with Eso Tilin Projects. They are a part of the Video Club production team where they have hosted experimental DIY video screenings in New York and Latin America. They were invited to participate in the group show Centrifugas, which centered Honduran diaspora artists, at El Centro Cultural de España en Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
In 2023 they exhibited work in Cute Aggression, a group show exhibited at GoodYear Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina. They received a 2021 FONDART grant from the Ministry of Culture, the Arts and Heritage, Government of Chile that funded a 53 piece sculpture installation exhibited in El Parque Cultural de Valparaiso, Chile. They obtained an Honorable Mention in the National Arte Joven contest from the University of Valparaíso, Chile with their piece Hogar Seguro in 2017. Also, in 2020 their piece El pasado es presente was selected as a finalist. They have participated in other exhibitions such as Museo Abandonado for the International Biennial of Contemporary Art of South America in 2017.
